Because we don’t rely on outsourcing, we control the manufacturing process from beginning to end. Raw materials are carefully sourced and inspected using spectral-analysis and then during manufacturing, automated vision systems are used to verify that exacting tolerances are maintained. After final assembly, additional testing and quality control processes are performed to ensure we will deliver the best quality possible for the most competitive price in the market.

 

APC has very high standards as to quality not only on raw material but production and manufacturing as well. We are very proud to be one of the only optical manufactures in the United States and we are extremely proud to produce our products with state of the art computers, robots and high-performance machines.

 

 

Innovation from the Beginning

In 2001, Steve Walters and his brothers John Walters III and Jeff Walters approved the business plan to start American Photonics. APC was created to be the best replacement option for customers who want high quality products but are not interested in paying the high prices charged by the OEMs.


American Photonics is very proud to be an American manufacturer of replacement parts that are compatible with and will fit the main OEMs in the market such as Amada®, Bystronic®, Cincinnati®, Mazak®, Mitsubishi®, Laserlab®, Laserdyne Prima®, Precitec®, Strippit®, Trumpf® and others. Make no mistake: APC is the manufacturer of these consumables and is very proud of its products. 

Just as a generic medicine is basically identical to the name-brand drug, except at a lower price point, our lenses are crafted to the same exacting standards as the parts manufactured by or for the OEMs. However, due to our manufacturing processes, we are able to deliver the product to the market at a lower price point which saves you money.

Today we produce over 5,000 items part numbers, including but not limited to, focusing lenses, out puts, mirrors, protective windows for fiber laser, silicon mirrors and many other replacements parts for Co2 and Fiber laser machines, to be used on high power machines and low power machines.

Central Distribution Center – Supply Chain

APC - American Photonics’ central distribution center oversees an inventory that contains millions of parts. We control every aspect of our supply chain including procurement, manufacturing and distribution to ensure each part number SKU, replacement part and consumable you need is always in stock when you need it.

What We Do

Return Goods Policy


Our Return Goods Policy is as follows:

1. Items acceptable for return –

 

A. Items returned within a 10-day period from date of shipment, with approval email from the APC sales department and the APC financial department

B. Items ordered or shipped in error - approved by email

C. Defective parts - after APC manufacturing inspection and approval. Last year we had 3 parts defective - We stand by our quality and we know our product is good and almost 100% defective free, but if happen, we will check and accept the return.

 

2. Items returned after the 10-day period (from the date of shipment) falls

under the Old Inventory Rule:

 

A standard handling and restocking fee of 30% of returned goods cost, or $30.00, whichever is greater.

 

3. Items not acceptable for return are:

 

A. Discounted items

B. Standard items that have been modified

C. Special parts

D. Damaged or used items

E. Inventory more than 6 months old from the date of shipment

F. Broken packaging

 

4. Item return authorization is required:

 

You must have a RETURN GOODS AUTHORIZATION (RGA) code from American Photonics before you return items. To obtain RGA Codes, please contact your sales manager, or customer service at (941) 752-5811

 

APC does not accept returns in the month of December.

 

Credits:

If returned goods meet all criteria a credit will be issued to the customer’s account. All credits are good towards future purchases. American Photonics does not issue credit card or cash credits.

 

American Photonics (APC) warrants its products to the original end user for the periods listed below:

 

Lens and Mirrors - 30 days after the shipping date

 

Nozzles and accessories - 90 days after the shipping date

 

Limited Warranty on Manufacturing and Material Defects. Warranty terms do not apply to consumable products.

Warranty Terms

 This warranty shall not apply to any product that has been modified or used in a manner inconsistent with APC instructions and operation guidelines. Within the warranty periods listed above and at APC sole discretion, APC will repair or replace any warranted parts or components that fail due to such defects in material or workmanship.

 

APC must be notified within 10 days after shipping date of such defect or failure ant with time APC will determine if a Return Goods Authorizations (RGA) is justified and issue and RGA number, authorization of a RGA number shall not be unreasonably withheld. APC will supply a RGA form, which must be include with the returned products for inspection by APC.

 

Shipping and packing cost shall be the responsibility of the party returning the goods. Once received, APC shall inspect and determined if a warranty claim is justified and at APC's sole discretion authorize a repair or replacement. Once authorization has been granted APC shall provide instructions on the warranty claim procedures to be followed.

 

Where authorized, repair or replacement constitutes the sole remedy for breach of warranty and expressly excludes claims for lost revenue, down time and any other consequential damages. The warranty is limited to the conditions started above and excludes, to the fullest extent permitted by law, all conditions, warranties and representations express or implied by stature, law or otherwise in relation to the supply or delay in supplying the goods/ services. There are no agreements, promises or understanding, either verbal or written that are not fully expressed in this warranty. This warranty may be amended or altered only if agreed to in writing and signed by APC.

 

 

APC limited warranty 122017
