American Photonics is focused on producing precision infrared optics and coatings in the USA. Whether it is standard or custom optics, APC will work closely with every client to design and produce optics to your specifications.

Advanced Manufacturing Technologies

Because we don’t rely on outsourcing, we control the manufacturing process from beginning to end. Raw materials are carefully sourced and inspected using spectral-analysis and then during manufacturing, automated vision systems are used to verify that exacting tolerances are maintained. After final assembly, additional testing and quality control processes are performed to ensure we will deliver the best quality possible for the most competitive price in the market.

APC has very high standards as to quality not only on raw material but production and manufacturing as well. We are very proud to be one of the only optical manufactures in the United States and we are extremely proud to produce our products with state of the art computers, robots and high-performance machines.

American Photonics manufactures and services replacement lenses, new and replacement accessories that are compatible and will fit in the main OEM market. 

Innovation From the Beginning

In 2001, Steve Walters and his brothers John Walters III and Jeff Walters approved the business plan to start American Photonics. APC was created to be the best replacement option for customers who want high quality products but are not interested in paying the high prices charged by the OEMs.

American Photonics is very proud to be an American manufacturer of replacement parts that are compatible with and will fit the main OEMs in the market such as Amada®, Bystronic®, Cincinnati®, Mazak®, Mitsubishi®, Laserlab®, Laserdyne Prima®, Precitec®, Strippit®, Trumpf® and others. Make no mistake: APC is the manufacturer of these consumables and is very proud of its products. 

Just as a generic medicine is basically identical to the name-brand drug, except at a lower price point, our lenses are crafted to the same exacting standards as the parts manufactured by or for the OEMs. However, due to our manufacturing processes, we are able to deliver the product to the market at a lower price point which saves you money.

Today we produce over 5,000 items part numbers, including but not limited to, focusing lenses, out puts, mirrors, protective windows for fiber laser, silicon mirrors and many other replacements parts for Co2 and Fiber laser machines, to be used on high power machines and low power machines.
